Advocates of same-sex marriage hit a roadblock with yesterday’s vote in Maine to reverse a state law allowing the practice. Pro-life and traditional family values advocates are reveling in bright news this morning. Republican Chris Christie ousted Democrat pro-abortion Gov. Jon Corzine in New Jersey, and Republican Bob McDonnell won Virginia’s gubernatorial race over pro-abortion candidate Creigh Deeds.
And Maine voters rejected a bill legalizing same-sex “marriage” with a healthy 53-47 margin.

The battle for the institution of marriage is in full swing in the state of Maine. Voters there were denied the ability to vote on same-sex “marriage” when legislators passed a law (LD 1020) this spring granting homosexuals the “right” to marry.
