Maine released its campaign finance filings, showing contributors to the Diocese of Portland’s successful effort to prevent the legalization of same-sex “marriage.”
According to the campaign finance records, nearly five dozen dioceses and bishops made financial contributions to the effort. Among the largest donations were $50,000 donations from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the Diocese... READ MORE

Pro-life and traditional family values advocates are reveling in bright news this morning. Republican Chris Christie ousted Democrat pro-abortion Gov. Jon Corzine in New Jersey, and Republican Bob McDonnell won Virginia’s gubernatorial race over pro-abortion candidate Creigh Deeds.
And Maine voters rejected a bill legalizing same-sex “marriage” with a healthy 53-47 margin.

Boston College Law School professor Scott FitzGibbon is featured in the first two pro-marriage ads that have been produced in support of a ballot measure in Maine to veto a state law passed last spring legalizing same-sex “marriage.”

The battle for the institution of marriage is in full swing in the state of Maine. Voters there were denied the ability to vote on same-sex “marriage” when legislators passed a law (LD 1020) this spring granting homosexuals the “right” to marry.
