Steven Waldman of Beliefnet.com notes that Catholic clergy are conspicuously absent from Barack Obama’s selection of religious leaders invited to participate in his inauguration.

Episcopalian Bishop Gene Robinson of New Hampshire, who is openly homosexual, will deliver the invocation at a Jan. 18 pre-inaugural event at the Lincoln Memorial.

President-elect Barack Obama says he is “proud” to have invited a homosexual marching band to perform in his inaugural parade.
