Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi, the Vatican’s chief spokesman, has acknowledged that improvements are required in how the Vatican publicizes its actions.

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, has commented about Pope Benedict XVI’s lifting of the excommunications of four Society of St. Pius X bishops.

Bishop Bernard Fellay, superior general of the Society of St. Pius X, has apologized to Pope Benedict XVI for the controversial Holocaust-denying remarks of another SSPX bishop.
