With the news about the Vatican’s change for Anglicans desiring to come into the Church, I decided to ask the perspective of an American who has taken that journey.

Father Douglas Grandon, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Moline, Ill., is a former Anglican pastor who is married and has children. He came into the Catholic Church in June 2003 and was ordained a Catholic priest in May... READ MORE

In a move described by religious scholars as unprecedented, 10 members of the Episcopal religious community All Saints Sisters of the Poor were received into the Catholic Church by Baltimore Archbishop Edwin O’Brien on Sept. 3. The community’s chaplain, Rev. Warren Tanghe, also converted with the nuns.

In defiance of the majority of the Anglican Communion, the Episcopal Church in the U.S.A. has voted in favor of ordaining homosexual bishops.

The unilateral action by the Episcopal Church, courtesy of a vote by its General Convention, moves the deeply divided Anglican Communion closer to formal schism.

The Los Angeles Times reports today:

Bishops, clergy and lay leaders voted overwhelmingly at... READ MORE

People who think that sexual abuse by clergy is exclusively a Catholic problem, or that only Catholic bishops have mishandled abuse allegations, or that a married priesthood would solve the abuse problem, should read this article.

It’s a recapitulation published by The Houston Press of an egregious abuse scandal in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, involving a married Episcopalian priest who... READ MORE

Episcopal Bishop Jack Iker (CNS)

The Fort Worth Episcopal Diocese last weekend voted to sever its ties with the national Episcopal Church.

The diocese is the fourth to break with the national church over the past year because of its drift away from doctrinal orthodoxy.

“The time has come for a new path,” Episcopal Bishop Jack Iker of Fort Worth said Nov. 15 at the diocese’s annual meeting, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram READ MORE
