It wouldn’t be fitting to allow U.S. Speaker Nancy Pelosi to have the last word on the matter of Pope Benedict XVI’s words to her on Wednesday in Rome.
Pelosi turned a deaf ear to the Pope’s comments to her regarding responsibility of all Catholics, and especially political leaders, to defend human life.

Bishop Joseph Martino of Scranton, Pa., has told Democratic Sen. Bob Casey that he cooperated with evil by declining to support legislation to restore the pro-life Mexico City Policy.
President Barack Obama issued an executive order Jan. 23 overturning the pro-life policy, which denied taxpayer funding of groups that promote abortion overseas.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried this week to include hundreds of millions of dollars for “family planning services” in the new Congressional economic stimulus package.
