St. Paul’s Tomb

Pope Benedict XVI announced yesterday that scientific tests indicate that St. Paul is indeed buried in a sarcophagus beneath the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls in Rome.

At a ceremony marking the conclusion of the Church’s Year of St. Paul, Associated Press reported, the Pope said, “This seems to confirm the unanimous and uncontested tradition that they are the mortal remains of the apostle Paul.”
