New Stem Cell Rules

Go here to read an Associated Press report about the new “final rules” for federal funding of embryonic stem-cell research, released a short time ago today by the National Institutes for Health.

The rules are a follow-up to the new federal stem-cell guidelines announced in March by President Barack Obama. Pro-lifers condemned the new rules for allowing funding for research that involves stem cell lines derived from the killing of so-called “surplus” embryos stored at IVF clinics.
