It wouldn’t be fitting to allow U.S. Speaker Nancy Pelosi to have the last word on the matter of Pope Benedict XVI’s words to her on Wednesday in Rome.

Pelosi turned a deaf ear to the Pope’s comments to her regarding responsibility of all Catholics, and especially political leaders, to defend human life.

Go here to watch Archbishop Charles Chaput of Denver discussing Pelosi’s continued intransigence regarding her pro-abortion political position with Fox News host Neil Cavuto.

“Every Catholic, whether you’re famous or anonymous, whether you’re a public official or a private citizen, has a responsibility to be faithful to what the Church believes about human life, and we believe that human life is sacred and precious from the moment of conception,” Archbishop Chaput comments during the interview. “So that applies to the Speaker as well as it does to me and to you and to anyone who’s Catholic.”
