As the author of “Christians in the Movies A Century of Saints and Sinners,” a Sheed and Ward book published by Rowman and Littlefield to much acclaim from Stephen Greydanus. Michael Medved and others, I was very dismayed and, yes, angry. to see the prominence given to the snarky blog by Todd Aglialoro of Catholic Answers with the misleading title “Requiem for Sheed and Ward.” My book sold out its hard copies at $49.95 and is in libraries from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Columbia to others acros the country and as far as New South Wales. It is now in paperbacka at $24.95 reaching parish and home libraries. I can report that Sheed and Ward is alive and well.
