The prolonged economic downturn in which we find our world has greatly affected all segments of society — and the publishing industry is no exception. But, in the face of that hardship, you have remained loyal to the Register.
For that we are truly grateful.
It’s remarkable for any publication to experience a circulation boost in a soft economy. But, because of your unwavering support, we at the Register witnessed an increase of more than 14% in 2011 — and the results from the early part of 2012 indicate that the number continues to climb.
That response inspires every member of our team to continue our mission to bring you the most comprehensive and timely coverage possible. We are humbled by your confidence in us — and thank you for your devoted prayers and continued financial support.
God bless you!

Circulation has increased, very good news! I sent 5 gift subscriptions this season knowing of the quality of the Register.
One comment. Since the transfer of leadership from RC to EWTN, the articles are no longer as easy to read. They have become so comprehensive (lengthy), it’s as if I just attempted to read an article from First Things magazine. And that is a good thing for some but not in my household of four teenagers. Their and my attention span is usually cut off by some crisis or another : ).
Thank you for taking over the newspaper. We need as much positive info about our faith as possible. Just felt compelled to give my opinion. God Bless You.
If it wasn’t for the section that the devil loves (I know, for him that is a strange word to use), the arts & “entertainment” with those horrible DVDs that any Christian should not be watching because of filthy language, sexual themes, blasphemies, etc. all of which is FORBIDDEN in what we call the Bible & what the Baltimore Catechism use to tell us: avoid all occasions of sin, I would give gift subscriptions to others or even donate to you once in a while. Right now, I throw out that section & only pass out what is fit for others to read. I realize that RICA has been a poor program simply because it is not standardized & most of the leaders don’t even know the basics of the teachings of the Church anymore. Last year a woman in the “letters to the editor” sent a message about this, but, Mr. Greydanus, who loves to misinterpret the Bible, along with Pope John’s message that he gave about arts, just didn’t get her message: the more sinful things that you watch, the less chance that you will get to Heaven just because your senses become dull to the evil & traps of the evil one. For instance, he gave “moneyball” a thumbs up even though it has obscenities, much crass language & a few sexual themed references & “Warrior”, another thumbs up even though it has profanity, obscenity & MUCH crude language & he says that it is all right for teens & up. NOT, it is not right & I believe that this section should be removed from a “Catholic” paper & someone should be teaching S.D.G. the truth as he is not only leading himself into hell, but, along with your help by publishing his junk, he is leading others with him. Many times he will use the word MATURE, but, teenagers are NOT mature & anyone watching his films are not mature, either. If he needs to watch this kind of tribe, then, at least, he should just give the title & the warning: DO NOT WATCH AS THIS IS FROM THE EVIL ONE. +JMJ+
I used to my parents used to get the NC Register when I was a pre-teen, I loved to read it, it taught me how to follow along with politics and how to read a newspaper. I miss it and wish my parents would get it again. I am grateful that I at least have this wonderful website to visit from time to time. Great work, NCR staff, please keep it up.
