Sreenshot of the Vatican YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/vatican.

As promised on Tuesday, the Daily Blog is providing more information on the Vatican’s new Youtube channel.

Go here to access the channel’s main page on the Internet.

We strongly recommend you bookmark the link too, as the page serves as a “one-stop shopping site” for accessing everything Vatican-related on the Net. It has prominent buttons at the top left linking to Vatican radio and TV as well as to the main Vatican website and the Vatican State website.

The Youtube channel was unveiled at a press conference in Rome today, along with Pope Benedict XVI’s message for the 43rd World Day of Social Communications. The message is dedicated to the topic of new media technologies.

Check out this Catholic News Service article for more detailed information about the launch of the Vatican’s upgraded Internet presence.
