Joking Around at the Al Smith

As expected, the archdiocese of New York’s Al Smith Dinner took place last night with a minimum of controversy.

In their remarks at the annual fundraising event, however, John McCain and Barack Obama did inject some welcome humor into the final days of this year’s presidential campaign.

The consensus of Catholic bloggers as to which candidate appeared to have the better stand-up comedy routine?

McCain, although Obama generated his share of laughs too:
