Rocco Palmo has posted some of the meditations for Pope Benedict XVI’s Way of the Cross today at the Colosseum in Rome, at his Whispers in the Loggia blog.

Go here to see them.

This year’s meditations were written by Archbishop Thomas Menamparampil of Guwahat, India.

Archbishop Menamparampil, a 72-year-old Salesian, was selected after the Pope heard him deliver an address at last year’s Synod of Bishops on Scripture.

Then Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit!” And having said this, he breathed his last. — Luke 23:46
