Newsbusters is reporting that the man charged with the murder of Kansas late-term abortionist George Tiller does not appear to have ties with the mainstream pro-life movement.

This fits the pattern associated with other cases of violence against abortionists, Newsbusters says.

Scott Roeder, 51, has been charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Tiller. Tiller was shot and killed yesterday while serving as an usher at Reformation Lutheran Church in Wichita.

Newsbusters, citing information posted by LifeNews.com, says Roeder has links to extremist political groups but not to mainstream pro-life organizations.

“Roeder’s only ties to pro-life groups appear to be messages he left on the public forum at the Operation Rescue website concerning Tiller,” LifeNews reported.

Representatives of leading pro-life organizations immediately condemned the killing of Tiller as a terrible crime that is completely incompatible with an authentic pro-life witness.
