Bruce Jenner who now wishes to be called Caitlyn will be honored at the ESPY's with the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage. This award says nothing about Jenner and everything about ABC/Disney/ESPN.

Let's see who wasn't courageous enough for ESPN.

Lauren Hill.

The plight of Mount St. Joseph basketball player Lauren Hill, who courageously battled brain cancer while continuing to play on the university's basketball team, captivated a nation. There was no way to watch that young girl living her dream and not feel moved, inspired. Hill lost her fight against cancer on April 10. But the 19 year old taught us all that dying means you're still living and while you're still living you can achieve dreams and you can inspire others and yes, you can change the world.

But I guess the girl who said in an interview, "I told God I would speak for all the little kids who couldn't speak...who can't express their symptoms like I can. I'm not fighting for myself. I'm fighting for others" wasn't courageous enough for ESPN.

The girl who said of her family, "I worry about them more than I worry about myself. I don't worry about myself. I'm staying strong for them" wasn't courageous enough for ESPN. The girl who, despite being diagnosed with inoperable cancer, said, "I feel like my life is meant to make an impact. Maybe that's why I was sent here. It was my job that God gave me. To be a voice. To make and impact," wasn't courageous enough for ESPN.

I also guess Iraq War vet and double amputee Noah Galloway — a crossfit athlete, distance runner, and a recent contender on “Dancing With the Stars” also wasn't courageous enough for ESPN. (I add that last thing because it shows that ABC is certainly aware of Galloway.)

But Jenner, who is wearing a dress and receiving nothing but kudos and huzzahs from the media, is being honored for courage. Tells you all you need to know, doesn't it?
