“Pro-lifers are not responsible for terrorism — people are responsible for violence and terrorism,” said President Obama about the recent shooting at Planned Parenthood. "I think we do ourselves a disservice in this fight if we are not taking into account the fact that the overwhelming majority of pro-lifers reject this ideology."

Of course, Obama didn't say those things about pro-lifers. He said that about Muslims.

President Obama did, however, link pro-lifers with the recent violence by a crazy man by scolding pro-lifers not to "demonize" Planned Parenthood.

I have a question: Why is it that when a radical Muslim terrorist commits an atrocity their motive is unclear to all and their affiliation with Islam is denied everywhere. But a nutjob who shoots up a Planned Parenthood with no connection at all to the pro-life movement is the responsibility of all pro-lifers?

Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards, sent out a fundraising email essentially saying pro-life people “feed domestic terrorism.” (You did catch that part about it being a fundraising email, right? Hey, those surgical instruments aren't going to sharpen themselves!)

Now, the head of the Colorado affiliate of Planned Parenthood said “We’ve experienced so much hateful language, hateful speech.“

"Such a negative environment has been created around the work that Planned Parenthood does, around the idea of safe and legal abortion," she continued. “And we’ve seen that across the country from all sorts of speakers in the last few months. I can’t believe that this isn’t contributing to some folks, mentally unwell or not, thinking that it’s OK to target Planned Parenthood or to target abortion providers.”

Wow. Nothing like using a tragedy for political advantage, huh?

And sheesh, there's a "negative environment" around the baby killing industry? Who'd a thunk it?

The media and their accomplices on the left regularly play "pin the crime on the right." You might recall ABC's Brian Ross breathlessly reported that there was a Tea Party member who had the same name as the Colorado movie theater shooter. You might also recall that the Boston Marathon bombing was initially believed by some in the media to have something to do with a tax protest. You picking up on a trend?

This man who committed this violence at a Planned Parenthood clinic had absolutely zero affiliation with the pro-life movement but because he mentioned "baby parts" all pro-lifers are somehow complicit because we "demonized" the abortion giant. And let's be clear, saying Planned Parenthood sold baby parts is not a crazy accusation. They were selling baby parts. That's a fact. They were caught on video haggling over prices for parts of babies.

And since when is seeking to not give an organization millions in taxpayer funding some kind of atrocity. Hey, remember when the Obama administration refused to renew a grant to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to help victims of sex trafficking because they wouldn't refer for abortion? We were told that wasn't outrageous or anti-Catholic. But somehow seeking to remove funding to Planned Parenthood is "demonizing."

If you're wondering why this is happening NBC Today co-host Matt Lauer answers that with a question. He asked one talking head “...does the attack take the issue of Planned Parenthood off the table for Republican candidates who don't want to be seen or don't want to risk taking advantage of a tragedy or being on the wrong side of a tragedy?” We wouldn't want to take advantage of a tragedy, would we?
