Well, another semester down … three more to go.

This was a tough one — not so much because of the studies, but because of, well, everything at once. I did another holiday season of “Reel Faith,” but I’m also doing more writing than before, both for the Register and elsewhere. (Last month I screened and reviewed Interstellar and Big Hero 6 in the same week, all while keeping up with classes and other writing. That’s crazy!)

This week I had two final exams and shot the holiday season finale of “Reel Faith.” (There’s still time to catch it! Updated air times: Sunday the 21st, 7:30pm (Eastern); Tuesday the 23rd at 3am; Wednesday the 24th at 3am and 10:30pm. More times posted as they become available.)

But now I’m done! Seminary studies are out, “Reel Faith” is over, I’m on vacation from work for two weeks, Sarah is home from college and I have no major writing assignments. So, time to catch up on sleep, spend time with the family, hang the lights outside and work on other things.

Like an exciting announcement hopefully coming by New Year’s!

I haven’t had time to post 60s in awhile, so here’s a bunch all at once:

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (SDG)

“Will you follow me … one last time?” Well, if you promise it’s the last time.

Unbroken (DD)

Angelina Jolie directs a true story of heroic endurance co-scripted by the Coen brothers (yes, those Coen brothers).

Annie (SDG)

I want to say I love the idea for Little Orphan Hushpuppy … but I’m not convinced there’s actually an idea here. Annie: my “Reel Faith” review.

Into the Woods (DD)

Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt star in the big-screen adaptation of the Stephen Sondheim fairy-tale musical, directed by Rob Marshall.

Exodus: Gods and Kings (SDG)

What happens when the director of Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven takes on the story of Moses? It’s a mixed bag.

Exodus: Gods and Kings (DD)

Want a second opinion?

Penguins of Madagascar (SDG)

Stick a fork in them, they’re done. Or maybe that’s me.
