Register Radio: Artificial Reproduction

Register Writers Christopher White and Mark Shea

Today on Register Radio you’ll hear National Catholic Register correspondent Christopher White talk about the dangerous social consequences of sperm donation.  White recently wrote the Register story, “Anonymous No More.” With between 30,000-60,000 donor-conceived children born annually, there are many people walking around with absolutely no relationship with their anonymous fathers, a great deal of emotional pain from the lack of a connection, and many questions about whether those they meet might not be their siblings. White exposes some shocking details about the $3.3 billion artificial reproductive technology industry, and the complete lack of regulation of it.

In the second half, Dan Burke interviews National Catholic Register blogger Mark Shea about his three-volume book “Mary, Mother of the Son.” Shea provided a brief history of one of the Church’s most misunderstood prayers – The Rosary. He also explained the one thing that Jesus cannot do for us. To find out what that is, listen to the show live on EWTN Radio at 2 p.m. Eastern time, or download the podcast and listen to the show here once it’s posted at 2:30 p.m. Eastern.
