Nearly 700 Lives Saved

Forty days ago, nearly 700 mothers in crisis pregnancies were considering aborting their unborn babies. Today, as a result of 40 Days for Life campaigns across the country, a confirmed 698 babies have been saved from abortion (that’s according to the 40 Days for Life web site).

It was the biggest, and perhaps best, 40 Days for Life ever, with campaigns being held in 238 locations.

This was the sixth coordinated campaign by 40 Days, which holds the pro-life campaigns of prayer and fasting each fall and spring. This year saw the campaign not only across the U.S. but also in Canada, Australia, Northern Ireland, Denmark, and England. This campaign began on September 22 and ended yesterday, October 31.

Organizers see it as a success. Early in the campaign, one abortion business, in Severna Park, Md., closed its doors. Organizers are also aware of at least four abortion business employees who left their jobs during the fall campaign.

While the fall campaign has ended, campaign director Shawn Carney says it’s only the beginning. In some cities, such as San Antonio, individuals will continue praying outside abortion businesses for an end to abortion.
