Like Miss USA runner-up Carrie Prejean, supermodel Kathy Ireland demonstrated recently that she combines good ideas with good looks.

During an April 13 interview with Mike Huckabee on Fox News, speaking about when human life begins in the context of explaining why she abandoned her former pro-abortion viewpoint, Ireland said:

“From the moment of conception, a new life comes into being; the DNA, the genetic blueprint is there; the sex is determined; the blood type is determined; the unique set of fingerprints is there,” said Ireland, who is married to a doctor.

Added Ireland, “According to the law of biogenesis, all life comes from pre-existing life, and each species reproduces after its own kind; therefore, human beings can only reproduce other human beings, so it doesn’t start out as one species and suddenly become a human being somewhere along the way.”

Huckabee commented that Ireland’s comments on the science of conception were “maybe the clearest, the most effective that I’ve heard — not just from a person who is a celebrity, but any person in politics or even from the pulpit.”

Ireland stressed in the interview that while she is a Christian herself, the case for protecting the unborn against the tragedy of abortion rests not on religious faith but on the indisputable scientific fact that they are human beings.

“The bottom line is: I really believe if the unborn is not a human being have as many abortions as you want, whenever you want; no justification is necessary,” Ireland said. “If, on the other hand, the unborn is a human being, no justification is adequate unless another human life is at risk, that being the mother’s.”

Said Ireland, “We need to put this in the hands of science. Even if you don’t share our faith, an atheist can know it’s wrong to take an innocent human life.”

Hi, I was using Become’s Day Cream and saw great results. So I traded up to the Total System and was amazed. My skin went from better to great almost immediately. I love that the Total System takes less than 3 minutes morning and night, and my skin has never looked or felt better. For me, the Total System was the obvious choice. It’s saves me time, money and effort, and I get the best results. Thanks become !!
