Doctor Had Woman Held Down to Force Abortion?

Thursday, May 27, 2010 7:08 AM Comments (7)

No means no, except maybe when you’re talking to abortionist Abraham Hodari.

The abortionist in Michigan is being sued for allegedly forcing an abortion after the woman changed her mind and asked him to stop. The abortionist even reportedly instructed assistants to hold the woman down while he completed the abortion.

A news report offers details:

Dr. Hodari has a sordid past. That’s a nice way of saying his clinic is a horror show. He’s been sued 23 times, botched a 2004 abortion that resulted in the death of a 15 year old girl, his clinic was exposed on video disposing of human remains illegally, and he has said he sometimes doesn’t wash his hands between patients because he worries...READ MORE

"The Loser Letters" vs. Big Atheism

Monday, May 24, 2010 11:44 AM Comments (119)

The new atheists are on the march. They’re in bookstores. They’re on television. They’re everywhere. But nowhere is their effect being felt more than on college campuses and by young people. So invasive is the new atheist movement that in many ways their outlook has become the default mainstream culture.

For too long Christians have been a punch line for militant secularists. It’s time somebody punched back. And Mary Eberstadt’s new book “The Loser Letters” is an unexpected roundhouse to the new atheist movement. I read it last week and urge you to pick it up. (You can click on Amazon.com.)

“Christians are always at a moral disadvantage because we’re told to turn the other cheek,” said...READ MORE

Abortion by Remote Control

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 9:42 AM Comments (11)

Planned Parenthood clinics across Iowa are fine tuning an advanced and novel way to abort babies - by remote control.

According to reports, about 1,500 women have already used a videoconferencing system to obtain abortion drugs over the past two years. Planned Parenthood’s system now allows a doctor in Des Moines to meet with patients across the state through video conference. At the end of the teleconference the doctor presses a button on the computer to activate a drawer at the patient’s location that contains R-U 486.

The patient then takes the pills while the doctor watches. Death by remote control. Abortion has always been a dehumanizing practice but the abortion industry has always...READ MORE

NY Times Column Compares al-Awlaki to Jesus

Thursday, May 13, 2010 11:04 AM Comments (1)

When arguing political points it is smart to leave out your “Jesus” metaphors no matter how brilliant you think they are, especially when defending alleged terrorist inspiring imams.

New York Times writer Robert Wright yesterday unwisely, I think, compared al-Awlaki, a dangerous imam who may have inspired numerous terrorist acts, to Jesus Christ.

Even leaving aside the constitutional questions (al-Awlaki is an American citizen), doesn’t Obama see what a gift the killing of this imam would be to his cause? Just ask the Romans how their anti-Jesus-movement strategy worked out. (And Jesus’s followers didn’t have their leader’s sermons saved in ready-to-go video and audio files;...READ MORE

Auctioning off Virgins

Monday, May 10, 2010 6:19 PM Comments (5)

So this is what we’ve come to in America? An Australian documentary maker is filming an auction where he’s selling off the virginity of several young men and women for a reality television program.

When he realized he’d be arrested for trying it in his home country he took flight to a country where it would be legal to sell poor young virgins to wealthy buyers. And far from being forced into the barbaric waters offshore some third world country where anything is legal the filmmaker has found a nice, comfortable and legal home right in Nevada. That’s right. The good ol’ US of A.

You can’t really pretend you’re shocked can you? You can be saddened, disgusted or even dismayed but definitely...READ MORE

The City of Philadelphia is in the Business of Killing Babies

Tuesday, May 04, 2010 12:00 PM Comments (4)

Joseph Patrick Stanton, a pro-life public interest litigator for 25 years, said today, “It’s clear that the city of Philadelphia is in the business of killing babies.”

That comment comes on the heels of an explosive investigative report from the Philadelphia Daily News which claimed that a Philadelphia Department of Human Services employee allegedly pressured and arranged for a 16-year-old girl in DHS care to have a late-term abortion in another state.

Because the girl was a minor, DHS reportedly asked the girl’s birth mother for approval for an abortion but the girl’s mother refused. So DHS allegedly arranged for a judge’s order to procure an abortion for the teen, something they’ve...READ MORE

Anti-Catholicism is the New Vegas

Thursday, April 29, 2010 9:12 AM Comments (13)

In the life of nearly every celebrity there’s a moment after the white hot fame cools and the spotlights are averted when a decision needs to be made. Does the celebrity begin a new life in obscurity or do they break out the white spangled jumpsuits and take the first flight out to Las Vegas to milk the last of their fame for every last embarassing moment of notoriety?

But recent years have shown that while Vegas still remains a tantalizing option, many former celebrities are establishing nice second careers as Catholic bashers. The prerequisites are minimal. You don’t actually need to know anything about the faith. Just dust off some old Pope insults, scream about priestly celibacy and...READ MORE
