Jack Smith at The Catholic Key blog has provided a useful assessment of yesterday’s surprising analysis in the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano about President Barack Obama.

The article seemed to suggest that Obama’s record to date as president on human life issues is considerably better than the U.S. bishops and American pro-lifers have concluded.
