What a great deal for Mother’s Day — and the whole month of May.

Family Rosary ministries is providing free ecards just right for Mom (which may also be printed for snail-mail delivery).

Family Rosary — which was started by Servant of God Father Patrick Peyton — says that these cards remind families that Mother’s Day is a good day for prayer.

At the Family Rosary website, PrayersForFamilies.org, visitors can select a unique cover and a particular Bible verse and prayer to go with it. 

A personal message can also be added.

“This Mother’s Day, give your mom the greatest gift of all: Pray for her and with her,” said Father Willy Raymond of the Congregation of Holy Cross and president of Holy Cross Family Ministries.

“Often, it’s our mothers who do all the praying for us,” he said. “Now, it’s our turn. We’re certain there isn’t a mother who wouldn’t be pleased to know her children and grandchildren are praying for her.”

The Family Rosary even suggests many different ways to pray for moms.

Here’s one example:

“Dear Mother, if I could give you one thing in life, I would give you the ability to see yourself through my eyes. Only then would you realize how much I love you. May God bless you always, especially on this special day.”

“There is no greater gift than prayer,” Father Raymond said. “A prayer from her children is the best thing we can give her. Nothing strengthens the bonds of her family like praying together.”

After all, as Father Peyton said, “The family that prays together stays together.”

He also said, “If families give Our Lady 15 minutes a day by reciting the Rosary, I assure them that their homes will become, by God’s grace, peaceful places.”
