Father Emil Kapaun (CNS)

Vatican investigator Andrea Ambrosi arrives Friday in Wichita, Kan., to examine a possible miracle attributed to the late Father Emil Kapaun.

The cause for canonization of Father Kapaun, a Marine chaplain who died heroically in the Korean War, was initiated last year by the Diocese of Wichita.

The miracle involves 20-year-old Chase Kear, whose survival and recovery following a traumatic brain injury sustained last year has confounded medical experts. Go here to read more about Chase and Father Kapaun in an article published by The Wichita Eagle. The Eagle has also posted a video here about the matter.
