Hello NCRegister folks!
I am thrilled to see the launch of the new NCRegister site and honored to be a member of the blogging team here. As the only female among the bloggers, I must admit to feeling a bit of pressure to cover all things girl.
I have no such worries in my other jobs. As a wife and mom of eight kids and editorial director of the Register’s sister publication Faith & Family, I’ve got the estrogen thing pretty well covered.
I am happy to have this outlet to talk about things that might not have anything to do with missing toddler shoes, piles of laundry, and better biscuit recipes, but I can’t promise some part of those things won’t find their way into what I do here. My life has a way of overlapping like that.
Feel free to let me know what kinds of blogging you’d like to see in this spot, and I will do my best to accommodate you. I will generally be posting on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
While you’re here, be sure to browse through the rest of the new NCRegister site. Congratulations to the NCRegister team on a job well done!

Hi Danielle, I’m happy to see you blogging here! I would love to read more about pro-life news and Catholic education.
Danielle,
You continue to amaze me with all you do and how much you offer your readers—in so many outlets.
For this forum, I think your experience as a Catholic mom can be a perfect perspective, even if it’s less about the household side.
Some initial thoughts that come to mind are teaching our children more deeply about our faith. How to talk to children about difficult issues when they are in the news, discussed at Mass, or affect our parishes (abortion, abuse, etc.). We never want to deny the truth, but how can we help our children—at their different ages and sensitivities—begin to understand?
I’m sure you’ll have many more ideas and others will add more.
I know you’ll be a terrific addition to this expanded site.
God bless!
Hi Danielle! Thanks for pointing us over here. When God was handing out energy and creativity, I think you got in line a couple of times! I look forward to the excitement you will bring to NCReg. Blessings! Mark
Hi Danielle!
Already loving the JLo article - any opportunity to link up Catholic celebs is important. For example, Frankie Avalon is Catholic and has been married to the same wife for ~50 years. In Hollywood, that’s unheard of, even for a celeb from the 50s and 60s.
Another example is Kourtney Kardashian who considered abortion when she found herself unexpectedly pregnant. But she chose not to abort because she read how traumatized women are after an abortion.
Would be great to see those kinds of stories highlighted by you, Danielle!
You’ll be fabulous. No worries.
Yay! I am thrilled to see you here! I have no doubt that you will be absolutely fabulous, as always! :)
You are all over the place… and we love it!
Danielle, as one of the many co-presidents of the Danielle Bean fan club, I’m thrilled to see you blogging in this big, beautiful new place. Congrats to the NCR team for their great new design and for their wise judgment in assembling such a talented blogging team!
Hello Danielle,
I’m so glad to have you here and look forward to your blogs. I have to admit that ‘being a girl’ gave me confidence in writing my first blog here. As for topics? I hope I can share some of my writings with you on my deepest faith and support with the Catholic Church in this modern society.
Many Blessings!
Catherine
You go, girl!!!
Danielle…you’re amazing. I don’t know where you find the time and energy but I’m glad you do! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and wisdom with us.
