This Rome Reports video provides a succinct explanation of why the Catholic Church has opposed Freemasonry for centuries.

It’s timely, given the release this month of Dan Brown’s latest potboiler, The Lost Symbol, which reportedly portrays Masonic beliefs in a largely sympathetic light — in contrast to the false and defamatory accusations Brown leveled against the Church in his previous two books, The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons
