New clinic set to target low income families

The largest abortion clinic in the nation is set to open in Houston, Catholic News Service reports.

Planned Parenthood is renovating the 78,000 square foot building which will include a surgical wing equipped to provide late-term abortions. The facility is a former bank that is shaped like a ... cash register.

I wish I were kidding.

Perhaps even more offensive than the cash connection is the fact that the enormous abortion facility is located in a part of the city surrounded by low income black and Hispanic neighborhoods.

Lou Engle, founder of the pro-life group The Call to Conscience, is organizing a protest rally at the clinic for January 18.

“We want to say that it’s not right to have an abortion super center that targets the minority community,” Engle said. He says Planned Parenthood actively markets its services, including abortion, to low-income, minority women.

Others to attend the rally include Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, and Abby Johnson a former Planned Parenthood clinic director.
