People Who Kill Innocent People Have Nothing to Brag About

Public bragging about abortion is the latest attempt to fight a losing battle. Abortions are at record lows as Americans grow increasingly intolerant of it.  Last summer’s undercover videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s lucrative “resale” parts market, especially ripped another chunk off the abortion industry’s pro-women veneer.

Planned Parenthood’s public relations brainstorming to counteract this has brought post-abortive women and abortion doctors out of hiding to tell the world that abortion is simply marvelous!

Celebrity Braggers

Feminist icon Gloria Steinman ushered in radical feminism in the Seventies and apparently will continue marching into delusion even if she eventually needs a walker to do it.  (She’s is in her 80’s now.)  In her latest book, Steinem defends her abortion as done out of self-love. Yet, why did this pro-abortion extremist wait for her eighth decade to reveal her illegal abortion?

"I just knew that if I went home and married, which I would've had to do, it would be to the wrong person; it would be to a life that wasn't mine, that wasn't mine at all,"  she wrote.

Oh, man! Steinam totally missed it!  It was her baby’s life that wasn’t hers at all!

Then, there is Texas Senator Wendy Davis who catapulted into the spotlight with a filibuster against a bill creating new abortion regulations. She thought being pro-abortion and sharing her own abortion story would launch her into the Governor’s mansion. Texans were not impressed. She bombed.

Davis said she aborted her baby out of love and claimed that any attempt to stop her would have been “disgusting.”  (Pro-lifers consider killing babies as “disgusting.”) It was discovered that her 20-week baby had an irreparable, non-life sustaining brain deformation.  "And I made my decision out of love,” she concluded.

What’s love got to do with it, Ms. Davis?  Your baby would have changed your life in ways you cannot imagine. I have interviewed dozens of women over the years that rejected abortion despite scary prenatal diagnoses. Some experienced a new depth to life after their disabled baby was born.  Others witnessed miracle healings.  And some, lost their baby to death, but they had peace knowing it was God who called their baby to himself.  It may not be an easy path, but it’s a better one.

Then, there’s Cecile Richards, president of Planned Parenthood who recently announced: “I had an abortion. It was the right decision for me and my husband, and it wasn’t a difficult decision.” Richards defends aborting her unborn baby because she didn’t want more than three blessings from God.  So, the fourth was aborted. She told Katie Couric: “It was a personal decision. And we have three children that we adore and that are the center of my life. And we decided that was as big as our family needed to be.”

Okay then. Crowd control.

Abortion Doctor Brag

A few abortion doctors have also stepped out and are pointing to Christian values as their motivation.  They claim God is directing them to perform abortions.  Newsflash: it’s the wrong god!

Carolyn Payne, an abortionist who wrote a shocking column for the women’s website XO Jane pointed to her Christian faith and upbringing with influencing her career choice. “I love providing abortion care to women, and I am proud to do so,” she wrote. No kidding, that’s what she said.

In a New York Times Op-ed piece,  Dr. Willie Parker explained that he also does abortions as a good deed.  He provides them in Birmingham, Alabama because: “These women face harsh life circumstances and incessant hostility, merely for wanting to exercise their rights.”  Parker attributed reading a sermon by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with challenging him to become a Good Samaritan, so he started aborting babies to show compassion.

King never came out for abortion, so it’s wild speculation on Parker’s part.  He needs to read up on the next generation: Dr. Alveda King, niece of Rev. King and author of How Can the Dream Survive if we Murder the Children?   She is a leading pro-life activist working against the #1 cause of death among Black Americans, because all lives are sacred.

Online Speakout

Part of the abortion brag is the recent pro-abortion, online "speakout" that sought women who do not regret their abortions to counter the vocal women who do.

Celebrating the killing of their unborn babies has an “ick” factor that’s hard to overcome, but they did their darndest trying. Well, actually they didn’t.  Most didn’t get the assignment quite right. I checked out their hashtag #1in3Speaks, (claiming very falsely that 1 in 3 women have abortions #mathconfused) and most tweeted pro-abortion rants but nothing about their own abortions.

A few did brag of their own tragic choices.  Here’s one from “anon.” (Does it count as speaking out if you don’t want anyone to know who you are?) “What matters is that I did not want to be pregnant...I did not need to justify that to anyone. –Anon”

Here’s one that got the assignment right but I don’t get her logic: “My abortion made my family possible. ‪#1in3Speaks ‪#shoutyourabortion.” What family is this of which she speaks? The ones allowed to live?

The whole Internet ordeal was built on a lie because 1 in 3 was a miscalculation.  But some women are co-dependent with the abortion business, so truth is optional.

That’s probably enough of this heartache for now.  Let us join forces and pray for these advocates of death.  May they receive the grace of enlightenment, repent of their abortions, and become new creations in Christ.  Always remember, these abortion braggers are packed with potential to become the next Dr. Bernard Nathanson, or Norma McCorvey or Abby Johnson or Romona Trevino, or any one of the tens of thousands who shout out their regrets through Silent No More Awareness.
